Role Overview:
Nuix is looking for a creative and detail-oriented eLearning Designer to join our training team in Sydney. This is more than just a content production role — it's a craft position for someone who thrives on turning complex technical material into engaging, effective online learning, and who can take ownership of the eLearning experience end-to-end so customers, partners, and new employees can ramp up quickly and confidently.
You will play a key role in designing eLearning courses, administering the Learning Management System, and partnering with subject matter experts to deliver high-quality learning at scale. The ideal candidate is proactive, pedagogically grounded, and comfortable working across multiple tools and time zones with global stakeholders, enabling the training team to operate at peak efficiency.
Location:
This position will be based in our Sydney office. The candidate is required to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week but may voluntarily elect to work either remotely or from the Sydney office for the remaining 2 days of the week.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and distribute end-to-end eLearning solutions using Office 365, Vyond, Vimeo, Articulate, and Techsmith — with a primary focus on building new content and modifying existing courses.
Apply instructional design theories and methods such as the ADDIE model to ensure learning materials are pedagogically sound, engaging, and aligned with adult learning principles.
Administer the Learning Management System end-to-end — creating, adding, and deleting users, building courses and certifications, registering and managing students for remote training, and maintaining the platform.
Partner with the content development team, subject matter experts, and the global training operations administrator to deliver new eLearning courses and ensure seamless experience for customers, partners, and new employees.
Track and report on eLearning offerings, communicate clearly with stakeholders verbally and in writing, and meet professional obligations through efficient work habits — meeting deadlines, honouring schedules, and coordinating resources effectively.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
3+ years' experience in instructional design or eLearning development, ideally in technology, SaaS, or fast-moving global organizations.
Proven ability to design pedagogically sound learning experiences and execute end-to-end with autonomy.
Hands-on expertise with eLearning authoring and media tools — Articulate, Vyond, Vimeo, Techsmith, and Office 365.
Experience administering a Learning Management System, including user, course, and certification management.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with strong written communication for learner-facing content.
Comfortable managing competing priorities, projects, and stakeholder expectations across multiple time zones.
Proactive, resourceful, and able to operate independently while building strong cross-functional relationships.
